For the inner planner who just wants assistance setting up and ensuring a prompt timeline. You will meet with SE for an initial consultation to discuss the event overview. During this time SE will give you a set of planning tools to use during the planning process and answer any questions you may have including budget concerns, timeline, development, vendor suggestions etc. The purpose is to give you a strong foundation so you can complete the planning on your own during the months leading up to the wedding/event. 6 weeks prior to your wedding date we will reconnect with you for the final venue walkthrough, and at that time you will hand off all completed wedding/event tasks to SE to execute.
Partial Planning
For those who know what they want but are not quite sure how to execute to make it happen. Perfect for those who have time to plan their special day but just needs a little help getting started. We will be as involved in the planning process as you would like. Our specialty is helping you select the right vendors for your specific needs including florists, photographers, caterers, musicians, ceremony and reception sites, bakeries, transportation, and hotel accommodations.
SE will customize our services to offer you exactly what you need. You decide.

Full Planning
For those who want to sit back & relax…all inclusive…feel secure knowing that everything is handled. Perfect for those with busy schedules who don’t have time to handle the planning on their own. Think of us as your personal concierge - we’ll take care of the busy work and leave the final decisions up to you.
Includes: venue selection, sourcing key vendors, timeline, budget development, invitations, sourcing rentals, creating welcome bags, and planning your rehearsal dinner

About
Shanell Givens, founder of Soliloquy Events, is a graduate of Morgan State University. Shanell has always had a passion for coordinating events, taking various projects in non-profit organizations, her sorority, as well as organizing events for family and friends.
As a mother of two, she always planned elaborate, super fun back-to-school and birthday parties. It wasn't until 2004 when Shanell was introduced to the world of wedding planning when she found herself planning her very own wedding as well as participating in countless weddings for friends and family.
Shanell received her wedding and event planning certification from the School of Continuing Studies at University of Richmond and Longevity's Wedding Planning Institute in August 2014. Since then, she has planned numerous events as well as assisted several weddings alongside Angela Parker, well-noted wedding planner in the Richmond/Charlottesville Area.
